Plenty of families took in the opportunity to review their fire escape safety plans and take in a visit with Sparky this week.
As part of national Fire Prevention Week, volunteer firefighters in Sables-Spanish Rivers township hosted three open houses at their different fire stations for families to meet up and talk about fire safety.
Publicist Jillana Goodchild says around 150 visitors took the opportunity to evaluate their home fire safety.
She adds Sparky was happy to get so many hugs and high-fives.
