If you are looking at getting a COVID-19 booster, there are more options available according to Public Health Sudbury & Districts.
The agency says it now has Moderna’s new bivalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccine available for everyone over the age of 18.
The health unit adds the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is also now available for children six months to under five years of age.
Appointments are needed for children, but walk-ins are available for adults.
The Espanola Regional Recreation Complex is hosting a clinic today while the mobile bus will be available this Saturday, October 15th at the Massey Arena.
The Pfizer vaccine will be made available to this age group by appointment only at Public Health-led clinics for this age group. Clinic dates and times will be added to our website. The Pfizer vaccine for this age group is a three-dose primary series with a recommended dosing interval of eight weeks between doses. Since mixing products for your infant or child’s primary series doses is not recommended, your child should receive the same product for all their primary series doses, whether it is Pfizer or Moderna.

Dedicated COVID-19 vaccine clinics for youth and their families will continue to be held throughout Sudbury and districts and all Ontarians aged 5 to 11 are now eligible for a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
