More arrests made in connection to break-ins in Huron Shores area

Three additional people have been arrested by East Algoma OPP in connection to two separate break-ins in the Municipality of Huron Shores and Plummer Additional Township back in late May.

Constable Phil Young says the break-ins took place between May 29th and May 31st with the first at a local energy fuel warehouse in Huron Shores where over $60,000 in equipment was stolen including Off-Road Vehicles.

He says the second took place at a Main Street hardware business in Plummer Additional Township with another $10,000 in equipment stolen.

Young says three men from Simcoe, Ontario are facing multiple charges in connection to the break ins; a 48-year-old is facing 22 counts of possession of stolen property while a 33-year-old and a 24-year-old are facing 18 counts each of possession of stolen property.

He adds police had also charged one other individual in connection to the break-ins in early June.
