Disturbance call in Elliot Lake leads to charges

Charges have been filed after Ontario Provincial Police responded to a disturbance call at a Hutchison Avenue apartment in Elliot Lake.

East Algoma OPP say they received a complaint that a person was creating excessive loud noise and yelling obscenities from their apartment window.

Police say the person was then uncooperative and threatened the officers, and was subsequently arrested and charged.

A 50-year-old Elliot Lake resident is charged with uttering threats and causing a disturbance.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on September 6.
