Arrest made in connection to shooting death of Manitoulin Island man

 The Ontario Provincial Police has arrested and charged a wanted individual as part of the investigation into a June 24th shooting on Manitoulin Island which left one person dead.

The 20-year-old from Hamilton was arrested by the OPP this weekend in Toronto with assistance from the Toronto Police Service.

The release states that 32-year-old Cheyenne Malcolm Roy was shot and killed in the Sheguiandah First Nation in what they describe as a targeted incident.

The accused is charged with Second Degree Murder, remains in custody, and is to appear in Gore Bay court today.

The investigation is ongoing.
