Espanola man dies at scene of lone ATV collision

The Manitoulin OPP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred over the weekend.

According to the OPP, officers, and emergency medical staff were called out to investigate an ATV collision in an area off Panache Lake Road on Saturday.

Constable Tessa Kasch says the lone rider died at the scene and has been identified as 61-year-old Yves Carriere of Espanola.

She says the road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene.

Kasch adds that the investigation is continuing.
