The construction of Espanola’s latest recreation project is now underway.
The Splash Pad construction has begun at Sherwood Park on Barber Street.
The work includes construction of the 2,480 square foot play area at a cost of $220,000 with the replacement of playground equipment and the addition of parking at another $50,000 estimate.
The amenity will include 19 features as well as two wheelchair accessible activators.
The contractor, ABC Recreation is expected to have the project completed by July 1st, just in time for a grand opening on Canada Day.
