A major trucking company based on Manitoulin Island has been named Canada Carrier of the Year.
U.S.-based company Transplace, a third-party logistics freight company, has recognized Manitoulin Transport based out of Gore Bay on the Island.
According to Manitoulin Transport sales vice-president Terry Daly, the award was held as part of Transplace’s eighth annual convention.
He adds due to COVID-19, no one from the company attended the Texas-based gathering earlier this month but Manitoulin Transport is honoured to be recognized as the Transplace Canada LTL Carrier of the Year.
