The Chi-Cheemaun, also known as the Big Canoe, is sailing to Manitoulin Island on its 2022 maiden voyage today.
The ferry has been repaired after a fire in March occurred in the boiler room when the boat was dry-docked in Thunder Bay.
Following extensive repairs, she has passed her five-year inspection and arrived in Owen Sound Wednesday and will sail today to the Island.
The ferry provides service between South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island and Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula.
