Manitoulin OPP has charged an Espanola woman following a theft in progress.
Constable Tessa Kasch says on Monday around four pm police responded to a theft at a residence on Barber Street in Espanola.
She says the complainant observed a woman take a package from the porch of their neighbour’s home adding officers were able to locate the person matching the description and arrested them.
Kasch says a 30-year-old woman from Espanola was charged with theft under $5,000 and three counts of drug possession.
She adds the accused is to appear in Espanola Court on June 6th.
