4th Edition Community Threat Assessment Protocol signing

A protocol that began with preventing and responding to tragic events in schools – like Columbine, Taber and Sandy Hook – continues to serve the communities of the City of Greater Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island.

According to Violence Threat Risk Assessment Community Coordinator, Anna Maria Barsanti says 26 partners from across the two districts including police and school boards will come together next Tuesday, April 26th at the Caruso Club in Sudbury for the signing.

She says they will sign the “Community Threat Assessment Protocol”, collaborative response to an individual of concern’s threat-making behaviours, adding J. Kevin Cameron, Executive Director of the North American Center for Threat Assessment and Trauma Response, will witness the important signing.

Barsanti says Cameron has developed protocols and provided training on traumatic events before they escalate and after they occur having played a key role in the aftermath of the Taber school shooting.
