Community recreation hub focus of the special public meeting

The city of Elliot Lake is hosting a hybrid in-person and virtual public meeting focused on the community recreational hub project.

City CAO Daniel Gagnon says the meeting will be held at the Collins Hall on Wednesday, March 30th at seven pm.

He says residents are welcome to attend the town hall meeting and ask questions about the project, adding council is not expected to make any decisions at that time and its sole purpose is to introduce the latest research to the public to allow for their input into the process.

Gagnon adds a drop-in question period will also take place before the meeting from three pm to five pm featuring proposed layouts and costing packages.

He says the meeting will be live-streamed for those who will not be attending in person.

If you are unable to attend, the meeting will be live-streamed on the City YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/user/cityelliotlake/videos, which will be uploaded to the City’s website after the event.
