Elliot Lake will see curling return to the city next season.
ELNOS has announced it has purchased the assets of the Deer Trail Curling Club in Elliot Lake and is working on a plan to redevelop the property.
According to ELNOS chair, Ian Ludgate, the curling club has been closed since March 2020 and it was announced in November 2021 that the closure would be permanent.
He says since that time, ELNOS has been working with the club on a plan to reinvigorate the property and bring curling back to the community.
Ludgate says ELNOS has been able to solidify a plan with a sports management & entertainment company to invest and revitalize the property.
He adds the public will be kept informed.
