Algoma-Manitoulin MPP Mike Mantha was just one of several visitors at the (sister station) Moose 99.3-FM – Espanola studio to support the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer Heart of Gold Radiothon.
Mantha says the radiothon is a great vehicle in showing the importance of supporting the riding’s youngest citizens and he does what he can to help.
He says many families and their children stay with him in Toronto when they are receiving their treatments and it is one small way he can help them.
Mantha adds his door is always open and anyone needing assistance can always find him ready to listen.
The radiothon has exceeded its goal of $5,000 with more coming in, and those funds will go directly to the Families to assist children with immediate needs who are either battling cancer or going through post-treatment challenges.
