The Manitoulin Health Centre has received a donation from the descendants of Darius and Mary White.
Centre CEO Paula Fields says the $1,000 donation will go towards the expansion of the Mindemoya Emergency Department.
She says the White family has been part of Manitoulin for over 100 years and with Darius and Mary White having 11 children, their descendants continue to be a vital part of not only the Island but relatives across the country.
