Moose 99.3 FM – Espanola is hosting the Heart of Gold Radiothon today in support of the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer.
Executive director Dayna Caruso says the organization is the official charity of Mrs. Regional Canada and provides 23 different programs that families and their children can directly access when undergoing treatment and post-treatment care for cancer.
She says the funds stay in the north and go directly to the families.
Caruso adds the organization suffered serious losses over the pandemic and the support provided through the radiothon will go a long way to help so many children, including those who live in the Espanola and North Shore area.
