Ukrainian President Volodomir Zelensky will address a joint session of our Parliament today.

He’s expected to continue his call for more military aid for his country, and the establishment of a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

Meantime, the prime ministers of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia plan to visit Kyiv today to show their support for Ukraine.

Heavy shelling and air strikes are reported in several cities across Ukraine this morning, including the capital of Kyiv.

In the southern port city of Mariupol officials say as many as 25-hundred civilians have been killed in the fighting over the past ten days.

Another relief convoy failed to make it into the city yesterday.

Talks are to continue between Russian and Ukrainian officials today, with the emphasis on humanitarian
corridors to allow civilians to escape, and food and water to be sent in to locations under attack.

So far, an estimated 2.8-million people have fled Ukraine, more than half crossing into neighbouring
Poland.
