The Sagamok First Nation Detachment of the Anishinabek Police Service conducted a traffic stop that led to a seizure of drugs.
Sergeant Chantal Larocque says during a routine stop, it was discovered the driver was driving while disqualified and a subsequent search of the person and the vehicle led to the officer seizing 18 grams of suspected meth, 47 suspected speed pills, $745 in cash, and some drug paraphernalia.
She says the 31-year-old from Massey was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession obtained by crime, driving while disqualified and three traffic offenses.
Larocque says he is to appear in Espanola court May 2nd.
