Damage to mailboxes in Mindemoya

The Manitoulin OPP is investigating damage and theft at the Canada Post office in Mindemoya on Manitoulin Island.

Constable Tessa Kasch says the break-in took place this past Monday.

She says unknown person(s) forcefully opened numerous mailboxes, causing extensive damage, then stole mail and other packages from inside.

Kasch says anyone with any information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.

Break-ins at several ice huts on Manitoulin

The Manitoulin OPP is seeking information to identify people responsible for several break and enters on Lake Mindemoya.

Constable Tessa Kasch says the investigation determined that several ice shacks were broken into, damaged and various items stolen over the last week.

She says if anyone has any information, they are asked to call police or can report anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
