The pandemic led to the cancellation of many events, but with the lifting of mandates, the Blind River Figure Skating Club is working hard on bringing back the July Community Parade.
Club spokesperson Summer Jamieson sought council support at this week’s meeting to host the parade and receive assistance in organizing the event.
It was noted by council the club had been successful in hosting the Santa Claus Parade last November despite strict COVID19 protocols.
Council endorsed the upcoming event to be held on July 9th adding organizers will have to meet any requirement in place at that time.
