Mental health conference attracts students from across Ontario

Several students from different English Catholic school boards took part in a virtual conference hosted by School Mental Health Ontario.

The Students Inspire Change Mental Health Conference was held virtually this past Saturday with students and staff discussing issues related to teenage mental health.

One student, Elizabeth Gavey says students learned a lot about mental health and the signs to look for when teens are suffering from depression or anxiety.

Another student, Sydney Withers, says the conference helps her share with her peers how to collaborate and work on different ideas, especially with the ongoing pandemic.

She adds as part of that networking, students now have access to more information and resources to help each other through tough times.
