The Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Command is carrying out a telephone calling campaign this month.
Member services director Randy Hayley says they are reaching out to Legion members who do not currently have email addresses while also reassuring them that the calls are not a scam.
He says a third party, Canada Direct, the same Canadian company that performed their renewal calling campaign last summer, will be reaching out to members on their behalf to collect their email addresses for membership records.
He adds the campaign will run for four to six weeks with some 30,000 members to contact with live agent calling only.
