A new councillor will sit in on his first meeting in Nairn & Hyman Township.
Township CAO Belinda Ketchabaw says Guy Despatie has been appointed as a councillor and will attend his first meeting on March 17th.
She says when Frederic Diebel was appointed as mayor, Councillor Rod McDonald was named Deputy Mayor.
The appointments came about following the resignation of former mayor Laurier Falldien who resigned partly in opposition to COVID19 mandates and personal pressures on his business.
The meeting will be held at 7 pm and is in-person at the township hall.
The public is invited to attend.
