Police on Manitoulin searching for armed suspect

Police on Manitoulin Island are searching for an ‘armed and dangerous’ suspect after a shooting in M’Chigeeng First Nation this weekend.

The UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service says officers were called to a home residence just before 10 pm Saturday night.

Police says a suspect, 37-year-old Prince Almando Graham of Toronto, is being sought in the shooting incident.

Police say a 30-year-old male was been shot and transported to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police says an arrest warrant has been issued for Graham who is considered armed and dangerous.

Police have released a photo and ask the public not to approach Graham, but to call their closest police service.

The search continues.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Graham, who is being accused of attempted murder using a restricted or prohibited firearm, pointing a firearm, handling a weapon in a careless manner, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm.

The weapon used in the incident has not been found.
