CND students promote Black History Month

It was a month of learning for students especially about Black History Month, which was celebrated throughout the month of February.

Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon communication director Paul de la Riva says their students learned about and celebrated different aspects of the history of Black Canadians and their communities.

He says one key project was a group of senior College Notre-Dame students from various African countries who produced a video showcasing their culture and the various countries of Africa.

He says their video production included various elements of Africa such as dances, stories, a fashion show, the sharing of traditional cooking, music and history and was well received by schools throughout the districts.
