Indigenous writer speaking to students about water

Sudbury Catholic schools will be focusing on water with students through its Indigenous Speaker Series.

Joanne Robertson is an Indigenous writer from Atikameksheng Anishnawbek First Nation who has written two books “The Water Walker” and “Nibi is water.

She is also the founder of the Empty Glass for Water campaign and will speak to students, parents and staff about the importance of the resource to everyone, especially Indigenous people.

The virtual series will be presented March 8th with two sessions, 9:15 am and 1 pm.
