The Blind River Beavers were edged out in their two-weekend games, losing four to three on Friday against the French River Rapids, and losing out three to two against the Soo Eagles on Saturday.
In other play, the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners skated past the Espanola Express nine to seven on Friday and Elliot Lake Red Wings went on to defeat the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners six to two on Saturday.
