Sudbury Health Coalition and Algoma peer teaming up to fight privatization of health care in districts

The Sudbury Health Coalition will be part of a province-wide campaign to fight health care privatization and for urgently needed improvements in care under the public, non-profit health care system.

Algoma counterpart member, Albert Dupuis from Elliot Lake says the Ford government is moving closer to privatizing the last remaining public components of home care and so leaders from Sault Ste Marie and Algoma will be joining the Sudbury Health Coalition in the campaign.

He says the public is invited to sit in on a Zoom meeting this morning which will focus on the impacts on local health services and to strategize in planning for an effective local response from the two districts.

Dupuis adds the meeting is set for this morning at 10 am.
