The Anishinabek Nation will be hosting its sixth annual Lands, Resources and Economic Development Forum themed Everything is Connected.
Communication officer Laura Barrios says the forum will include presentations and discussions among leadership, First Nations, other government officials, industry experts, and academic speakers.
She says the sixth annual event is an opportunity to consult and educate on topics relating to lands, resources and economic development, especially their impact on First Nations in Ontario and across Canada.
Barrios says keynote speakers will include Anishinabek Nation Grand Council Chief Reg Niganobe and Jason Laronde, a Lands and Resources Department Director.
The three-day forum starts today.
