A historic snowshoe trek across Northern Ontario is into its second leg.
Dave and Kailyn Marrone say they are now into the second leg of their three-month trek through the north with ten participants enjoying winter in a unique way.
Dave says they finished crossing Missinabie Lake yesterday.
Kailyn says the cold weather has blessed them with strong ice adding they have had cold mornings with minus 35-degree temperatures all week, but sunny skies.
There are still another eight full weeks of trekking with the group planning to finish near Lake Superior in early April.
