The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League has seen plenty of action over the weekend after returning to regular season play.
It was not a great weekend for the Espanola Express that lost two games: 7-2 Thursday against the Greater Sudbury Cubs, 4 to 0 against the Timmins Rock and a 5 to 4 loss against the Blind River Beavers.
The Elliot Lake Red Wings fared better with a 6-1 victory over the French River Rapids Friday and defeating the Cochrane Crunch 3-1 on Saturday.
The Soo Eagles pulled out a 5-4 triumph over the Blind River Beavers Saturday and the Powassan Voodoos skated to a 7-3 triumph over the Beavers Sunday.
In another Sunday game, the Hearst Lumberjacks rallied past the Red Wings 5-2.
