The Betty White Challenge has benefited a local area animal service.
Society for Animals in Distress got a nice boost thanks to the challenge put out on social media for the Betty White Challenge.
White was well known for her animal activism and with her passing just days before her 100th birthday, the challenge was put out online to raise funds for local groups.
Society business manager Tracy Paquette says they still have not received all the funds raised through Facebook, but she says the funds received will go a long way.
Paquette extends a huge thank you to both the community and online supporters who provided the funding, which goes towards the shelter, food supplies, and other necessities.
