Métis Nation of Ontario’s Mitch Case appointed to National Council for Reconciliation Board

The Métis Nation of Ontario says Mitch Case, Region 4 Regional Councillor, has been appointed by the federal government to serve on the Transitional Committee of the National Council for Reconciliation.

MNO President Margaret Froh says the Transitional Committee will help develop legislation to guide the future of the National Council for Reconciliation and define its role in meeting the Calls to Action issued by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

She says Case will bring a wealth of personal and professional experience having devoted his adult life to advancing the Métis cause.

Case says he is honoured to have been asked to bring his experience to do something stressing the goal is meaningful action in working through the reconciliation process.
