The libraries in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township are moving towards accreditation with new programming, meeting physical disabilities standards and more.
Chief Librarian, Serena Mariage presented her year-end report to council this week outlining new programming and how well the libraries in Webbwood and Massey have done despite the pandemic.
She attributes the virtual aspect of providing services and the addition of the Hoopla web program in helping with those numbers.
Mariage says the goal this year is to continue with their growth in all areas of programming to be able to apply for accreditation for the sites, which would mean more networking and funding opportunities.
