The amalgamation of Espanola Regional Hydro and North Bay Hydro Holdings is underway.
North Bay Hydro Holdings President, CEO Matt Payne, says the company acquired Espanola Regional Hydro from the Town of Espanola and Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers in 2019.
He says the two continued to operate as separate entities but now the process to amalgamate into one utility is now underway.
He says customers have been notified by letter about the process, which will include billing, investments into the utility, as well as maintenance and improvements of service.
He says the public will be kept informed as the companies move through the various stages with full amalgamation expected by 2022.
