Mike Mantha easily won his riding Thursday night for the NDP. But now the New Democrat has to deal with a Liberal majority government compared to the minority they had before the election was called. However Mantha doesn’t believe this will stop the NDP from putting forward their ideas. That’s because his approach of building bridges during his first term worked and he believes it will work again. Mantha won by picking up 14,172 votes compared to 6,504 votes for Liberal Craig Hughson and 4,589 vote for Jib Turner of the Progressive Conservatives. The Green Party had 828 votes through Alexandra Zalucky while Richard Hadidian, who represented the Libertarians, had 464 votes.
