Ontario extending paid sick days until end of July

Ontario is extending paid sick days for COVID-19 into 2022.

Provincial officials have announced the program will be extended until the end of July.

It was supposed to end on December 31st but has been changed in light of the new Omicron variant.

As of last week, over 235,000 people have used the “worker income protection benefit” since it was launched in April.
