The Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario has appointed a new associate director of education.
The trustees have appointed Sébastien Fontaine to the position as of January 31st, 2022.
Fontaine holds several university educational degrees and is currently the Interim Director of Education for the Conseil scolaire Viamonde.
Since the beginning of his career, he has worked as a superintendent of education, principal, vice-principal, educational consultant and teacher at the secondary and adult education levels.
Over the next few months, Marc Gauthier, the current Director of Education and Secretary of the Board, will work closely with Fontaine to ensure a smooth transition before he retires in April when Fontaine will assume the education director position.
