Former television reporter under house arrest following guilty plea

A former television reporter is now under house arrest following a guilty plea.

According to the Sudbury court office, Callam Senyk-O’Flanagan, who was known professionally as Callam Rodya, pleaded guilty last month to one count of committing an indecent act, after the drug and child pornography charges he was facing were dropped.

Last Thursday, he was sentenced in Sudbury court to a nine-month conditional sentence, half to be served under house arrest, half under a curfew order.

The court also ordered Rodya will be on probation for one year, is forbidden from having contact with children and must submit his DNA to a central data bank.
