The construction company overseeing the installation of the new water main in Espanola will be shutting down Mead Boulevard in the Boogie Mountain vicinity in Espanola tonight.
Belanger Construction requires a complete road closure to excavate across the entire road width to install a new fire hydrant and water service.
The closure will begin at 8 pm and will be completed prior to 6 am Tuesday.
According to the release, no vehicles will be able to pass the excavation site during the closure with the work being carried out overnight to minimize the inconvenience of another road shutdown.
A suggested detour is to take Lee Valley Road to Pleasant Valley Rd. which intersects with Bass Lake Road beyond the local landfill.
