The Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario trustees held their election for chair and vice-chair earlier this week.
Board communication chair Carol Dube says the trustees have re-elected Anne-Marie Gélineault as chair and Francine Vaillancourt as vice-chair.
She says Gélineault has been chair since 2020 and has also chaired the finance and plant committee.
She also played an active role on several committees such as the Ad hoc committee, Director of Education Evaluation, and the Audit Committee.
Dube adds Vaillancourt has been vice-chair since 2020 and has represented the board at the provincial level as well as taking an active role in the education, policy, human rights, and special education committees.
Both trustees thanked their peers for their support and are looking forward to continuing to provide the lead in education in 2022.
