Bishop Thomas Dowd is in Elliot Lake on a pastoral visit this week.
He told the Moose he is thoroughly enjoying meeting so many people in Elliot Lake.
Most of his morning was spent with Elliot Lake Mayor Dan Marchisella and city staff followed by a lively visit to Our Lady of Lourdes School.
He adds he has also enjoyed taking in the fine food at the Firehouse Grill and Gem restaurants.
Bishop Dowd is also hosting evening discussions on various topics.
He will spend today visiting the hospital, hosting some internal meetings in the parish and evening three of the parish mission.
