Blind River Santa Parade nearly set to go

Like other communities, the Town of Blind River is looking forward to the return of its annual Santa Claus Parade.

Organized by the Blind River Skating Club, the parade, themed Anything Christmas, will be held this Friday after being cancelled for the last two years.

Club president Summer Jamieson says there are already 20 to 25 floats confirmed.

She says the parade route will be cordoned off and has the blessing of council with COVID-19 protocols in place.
Jamieson adds more participants are welcome and will gather at WC Eaket school starting at 5:30 p.m. before the 6:30 p.m. start and will include walking and driving entries.

She says it is also being supported by the local Chamber of Commerce and will coincide with the Moonlight Madness shopping event.

Those wishing to register email Jamieson at [email protected] or call 705-562-1737.
