Improving the store front a priority for Blind River

Blind River council knows how important it is to have storefront operations in town, and to that end, will provide a grant to help businesses put their best foot forward.

Director of facilities and community services, Karen Bittner says the community improvement program assists business owners with the grant application process.

She says the program was introduced back in 2018 and has marvelous success with business owners able to take advantage of improving their store front appearance with the town paying half the costs for the retrofits.

She says it has been successful lately with over 30 applications being made over the last two years.
