English Catholic education director announces retirement

The search for a new education director for the English Catholic school board that provides education in the Algoma, Manitoulin and Sudbury districts has begun.
At Wednesday night’s meeting of the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board, education director Rose Burton Spohn announced her intention to retire in the spring of 2022.
She says it has been an honour to serve the board in that position over the last eight years and several decades of experience in other aspects of education.
Board Chair Sandra Turco thanked Burton Spohn for her years of service adding the search for a new director will begin immediately.
She adds Burton Spohn’s official retirement date will be finalized and announced after the selection has been made.
