Nearly 2,200 Hydro One customers are affected by a planned power outage a week from this coming Sunday in Algoma. The utility is cutting the juice to seven townships in Algoma on the east side of Sault Ste. Marie beginning in Thessalon and moving eastward. Also affected are the Thessalon First Nation and the Municipality of Huron Shores. The power will be out for five hours beginning at 6:00 a.m. Sunday, June 28th so that Hydro One can upgrade its equipment and carry out maintenance work.
