Special Olympian’s coffers are $27,000 richer thanks to Espanola. When the Law Enforcement Torch Ran went through the community last week, organizers were given a cheque for $27,000. The money was raised by the local group Guardian of the Flame which holds an endurance event known as Boogie Rush. In the two years that this group has been doing this, it’s brought in nearly $60,000 for Special Olympians.
