Vaccinations for children

Pfizer says its COVID-9 vaccine is proving to be effective and safe in children between the ages of five and 11.

The company says a study of more than 22-hundred children, using a lower dose of vaccine, proved to be safe, and generated what it calls a “robust” antibody response.

Side effects were similar to those experienced by people between 16 and 25.

Pfizer plans to submit the results to the Food and Drug Administration in the U-S for emergency approval.

It adds that results from tests involving children as young as six months are expected later this year.
