The Ontario Nurses’ Association and Algoma Public Health reached a tentative agreement during conciliation on Friday, September 17.
According to the release, the Algoma Board of Health is expected to conduct its own ratification process this Wednesday.
ONA members will vote on Thursday.
Details of the tentative new collective agreement for the 85 public health nurses, registered nurses, and nurse practitioners will remain confidential until both parties have ratified the deal.
It is estimated that the members of the association provide care for around 119,000 residents from Sault Ste. Marie to Blind River, Elliott Lake, and north to White River.
