A Manitoulin Island man has been charged with careless driving following a single motor vehicle crash that closed Highway Six for several hours yesterday morning.
OPP Media Officer Constable Robert Lewis says police and emergency services including firefighters were called out to the incident around 2:30 in the morning.
He says the driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was later discharged.
Lewis adds the highway was closed for several hours due to the cleanup.
Lewis adds the driver, a 40-year-old person from Manitowaning has been charged with careless driving, which carries a loss of six demerit points and a $490 fine.
